Stiletto is a sexy and extremely appealing table design which found it’s inspiration in the elegant curves of feminine footwear.

This chic table features a sky-high heel as one of its legs, hand-sculpted from solid stacked walnut. The underside of the table is finished in polished red acrylic, echoing the iconic fashions of Christian Louboutin and his signature red-soled, high-end, high-heeled shoes.

The tabletop comes finished in the choice of inlaid leather or French Burr Walnut veneer (pictured) dressing up its curved top, which extends downward to become the table’s second leg. Integrated drawers are lined with luxurious red nubuck leather interiors, and from the exterior are neatly hidden with no hardware to clutter the clean, contemporary look.

Versace Home has presented their collection of Christmas ornaments and tableware for 2010.

As other products by the company the collection is all about luxury. Everything in it has shiny golden finish and decorated with winter or berry motifs. Even though there aren’t many ornaments in it there is almost everything to set up the Christmas table. If you’re looking to celebrate the holidays in style and luxury then the new collection is right for you. As many other designers items these ornaments and tableware definitely worth a shot.

Pooktre is what i thought when i first saw Laura’s creations.

Laura Spector is one of those artists and designers that creates a really unusual handmade furniture. She is best know for her uniquely lyrical interpretation of the organic form. Among her creations you can find truly amazing wicker furniture made of twigs as for outdoors as for indoors. Each furniture piece is an unique treasure that represents a love of nature and is real object of beauty. They all are made from a vine called Oriental Bittersweet covered with two coats of an oil-based wood preservative and a coat of polyurethane.

She has made a large variety of furniture pieces from english, french and balinese benches to chairs, beds, tables and even lamps.

With such an interesting and innovative design these pieces are suitable for rustic and modern environments at the same time, you just have to know how to combine the pieces with the rest of the decor.

“Instable” comes from designer Aïssa Logerot and is a creative table design with an original look. You could say it is also interactive, as it responds to the actions of the user.

Each object placed on this table has the ability to distort its surface, but in the same time the object’s balance is not affected. Made from wood sticks which react easily to any exterior stimulus, this table is both fun and functional. It can be used in the kitchen just like any other “common table” without fearing that something could fall. Another interesting feature is that the user can turn the wood sticks around and create interesting patterns on the surface of the table. Meaning that this furniture piece can change its appearance whenever its owners feel like doing something creative.

Designed by Jason Phillips Design the Corocotta Table is a concept that employs solid wood end cuts from furniture production and links them together in a twisting configuration that accepts a glass top and can be used as a cocktail table.

Measuring 54x30x17”h, the piece is supported by a steel armature that is threaded through the cubes, providing a structurally sound form that defies gravity. The piece was influenced by the story of an ancient warrior. According to several historians, Corocotta was a Cantabrian warrior leader during the 1st century BC. His great achievement was the union of the disperse Cantabri clans in an alliance against the invading Roman armies, to the great exasperation of the powerful empire.

He fought against Rome from the years 29 BC to 19 BC. The Roman historian Dio Cassius relates the story of this robber who caused numerous difficulties for the Roman Army. Such was his fame that during the campaign of Emperor Augustus in Cantabria from 26-25 BC, a price of 200,000 sestercii was put on his head. To the emperor’s astonishment, none other than Corocotta himself walked into the Roman camp, presenting himself and demanding the reward. In a gesture to Corocotta’s bravery, the Augustus let him go after granting him the money. Beautiful story …and beautiful piece of furniture.

I am sure you remember the Play Ground, Play Table and the Secret Garden Table. What i am about to present you is a bit similar to these two projects, except for the “create it yourself” part.

Around the internet there are many tutorials about how to create a mini terrarium of a glass bottle or something similar by yourself. Although what if you want a professionally made mini terrarium? Lítill offers six different kits of such terrariums. Each of them includes the unique container, sand, and a selection of special plants. All Lítill’s mini terrariums differs in size and shape because glass vessels are hand-blown. Although the price for such beauties ranging from $150 to $800, if you’re interested and ready to pay for the perfect tabletop decorating object, you should be able to make your own out of “scratch”.

Pebbles…

According to wikipedia, a pebble is a clast of rock with a particle size of 4 to 64 millimetres, it is known to come in various colors and sizes, with different harshness grades and have multiple usage purposes.

You might have a “bunch” of pebbles in a box somewhere reminding you of a pleasant or not event, or even have some of them lying on a shelf somewhere as a piece of the decor with sentimental value. It is said that pebbles are not only cute pieces of decor that can complete your room, they are also known to release positive energy in a room.

Today i want to present you an innovative way of using pebbles – an awesome furniture set which features beautiful pebble inlays. With Furnibloom you can grow a variety of plants on your own balcony or anywhere you could place a table and some chairs. Furnibloom was created by landscape architect Dagný Bjarnadóttir and is actually a set of plexiglas furniture.

Initially created in 2007, the hybrid furniture has maintained a low profile despite its timely design. Included in Iceland’s forward-thinking festival DesignMarch, Furnibloom finally takes the international stage at Shanghai’s 2010 World Expo as part of the Nordic Lighthouse exhibition, on display through 15 August 2010.

These pieces of furniture can house a variety of plants. This is possible by creating a good micro climate for the vegetation to grow inside day-to-day furniture, such as chairs or tables. A double functionality is ensured. First off, one could actually plant vegetables within such unusual furniture (we read this is possible). Its aesthetic feature is obvious: these tables and chairs are absolutely lovely and they have the means to cheer up any interior or entertainment outdoor space.

When you stay in a hotel or bed and breakfast, what are some of the main things you look for?

You can create the same feeling you look for when you stay away from home. You want comfort and style on a budget and you can get that by decorating your guest room.

The bed is the main attraction in a guest room.

If it doesn’t look appealing, it will probably not be comfortable. You want your guests to feel comfortable and welcome as soon as they open the door so arrange the bedroom to place the bed in a place that is visible from the door. If your mattress is used, purchase some thick bed liners that can help make the bed soft and cushiony. You may want to use a featherbed topper to make the bed extra soft and comfortable.

You want a new bedspread and comforter on your bed so it looks good.

Bed linens must be fresh so it’s important to keep up with the condition of the sheets. Place fresh sheets on the bed as soon as you know that guests are coming. You will need a fitted sheet, top sheet, blanket, extra blankets, and a down comforter. You will also need pillowcases that are ironed. Place area rugs at the bedside so your guest will place their feet on the rug instead of on the cold floor. You can use a bamboo rug so it will be stylish and comfortable.

Everyone has suitcases and luggage when they come to stay, so where do they place them in a guest room?

Have a bench or table that they can place their luggage on. You can get creative for a luggage rack. Just make sure that you have somewhere they can sit their luggage instead of on the bed.

Every guest room needs a chair and a table beside of it.

They may not keep the same hours as every one in the house so they will need a place to sit, relax, read a book, search on the web, or drink a cup of coffee. Use southwestern rugs or floral rugs where guests will site.

Place enough lamps in the room to provide controlled lighting in the room.

With lamps, they can turn on or off the lighting as they need it so there is not a constant glare all the time. Place a bedside lamp on the nightstand so they can turn the lights on and off without getting out of bed.

If you don’t have a closet in the room for close then you will need to purchase a portable closet.

You can find them at a home organization store. Guests need a place to put their clothes, especially if they plan to stay more then overnight.

You will also need to place a small dresser in their room.

Everyone feels more comfortable when you can take your clothes out of the suitcase and place them in a drawer to reduce wrinkles.

Provide a basket that contains pen and paper, tape, a box of tissues, a hair dryer, and some mints.

Your guests will feel welcome and comfortable every time they stay in your home.
