Italian designer Mauro Lipparini has created the EXTreMe Sofa for Saporiti Italia.

An elaborate collection of sofas, armchairs and tables, whose basic frames and main characteristics are defined but, at the same time, whose geometries and finishes are completely free and totally customizable by the end-user.

The large platforms that support sofas and armchairs, are freely configurable, as well as seats and cushions, extremely flexible in their shapes and structural components to allow different degrees of comfort and various uses. The materials used for these sofas are refined and sophisticated: they vary from the woven, decorated or laser-cut leathers by Foglizzo, to the exclusive fabrics of the Saporiti Italia collection, to the mat or high gloss lacquers of the platforms. In the tables too, shapes, finishing and surfaces can be totally customized. Their surfaces can be made in wood or lacquer and they can be decorated and inlayed with refined designs and patterns, made with traditional techniques and materials, such as wood or precious metals, but also with innovative metals, such as steel, aluminium, titanium.

Interesting design, and with all this i find the red design more appealing. You can find a place for it in a room paint in a diversity of colors even if it has red in the composition.

Patricia Urquiola has designed the Foliage sofa for the Italian manufacturer Kartell.

Dialogue between natural realities and artificial Foliage, the sofa clearly bears the graphic hallmark of Patricia Urquiola as an object that looks as if it just grew naturally in plastic. The leaves form a crown resting on a framework of branches which virtually form a seat. Foliage is a sofa with great personality featuring a seat with top-stitched embroidery on four round legs. Cosy and soft, Foliage offers two roomy seats. The top-stitching runs over the entire surface and on the back too making the sofa a standalone piece that can be placed even in the centre of a room and seen from all sides.
