A revolutionary concept for interior design has risen from a fresh approach to fire with the help of cutting-edge technology. Planika introduces this innovation with a touch of creativity. A mobile fire solution without smoke or smell that uses Fanola, a special liquid based on ethanol, which can be arranged within different indoor as well as outdoor environments.

The unique solutions used allow Planika Fires to obtain the effect of dancing flames in their natural intense colours. Inspired by contemporary applied art and lifestyle, these features enhance the quality of life, bringing the element of fire from the past to present modern interior spaces.

The mission of Planika is to bring the primeval fire from before thousands of years to contemporary interiors.

Throughout thousands of years people have sat around the fire, facing one another and reaching out their hands in order to warm them up. The primeval need for contact with fire lingers on in the soul of every man. Looking at dancing flames brings people together and the fire is associated with warmth and safety.

Planika is an innovative technology company set up as an Australian-European joint venture with its products present in 30 countries and two international branch offices in London (UK) and New Jersey (USA).

It started with a simple bonfire in the heart of the Australian continent, under the red Ayers Rock.
Two tourists, Alfred Weilandt and Jerry Dabrowski were sitting by the fire, long into the night, listening to Aboriginal tales about a mythical Epoch of Dreams. The atmosphere created by the flames inspired the two to find an easy way to have the same fire in contemporary interiors.
Their intention was to overcome the existing difficulties of soot, ash and the need for a chimney, all which are associated with fire in an interior space. Contemporary lifestyle demands products that through design have a character of their own but are safe and easy to use; this sparked the beginning of Planika by the founders Alfred Weilandt and Jerry Dabrowski. After spending months on designing and testing, the result was a product which combines beauty of form and comfort of use for the atavistic need to commune with fire.

This is how the idea of Planika Fires was born.

Planika Fires create real fire without any smoke. Designed by distinguished designers they become focal points of exclusive interiors.

The design process of Planika Fires takes place in the Planika Studio. Success lies in designing a new form that addresses contemporary lifestyle. Design together with the technical knowledge and experience are the basis for every model. By always paying close attention to every detail while shaping the form and carefully selecting the highest quality materials, we have come up with a product that is in accordance with our sustainable agenda.
We are open-minded and draw inspiration from around the world while working on the design projects. The busy world of today is full of creative impulses that foster young talents like the designer Maciej Klus, to express themselves through design. We are cautious not to limit ourselves and we emphasise the role of development. Thus, it is important for us to remain open to fresh ideas as well as different perspectives, recognising the importance of individuality and personal style. Aware of the significance of diversity a new collection was created together with renowned designer Christophe Pillet.

Vittore Inox kitchen concept seeks to redefine the way you look and interact with your kitchen once and for all. Created by Swiss designers Giancarlo Mino and Gregorio Soumas, the kitchen concept is named after the famous multi-function Swiss pocket knife and draws heavily on its compact multi-functionality too.

Based on two opposite poles, one for water and one for fire, the kitchen uses both in tandem to serve as centers of cooking action. With several retractable shelves offering various functions and provisions, the kitchen maintains a good flow of work. Indeed, each shelve is characterized by a different function, such as the wooden board located near the water point where aliments are cut.

Users can arrange this kitchen according to their need and then retract it like a knife after use. And the best part is, all of it folds away out of your view once you’re done so you also get a feeling of increased space and tidiness after every cooking session.

It is said that the way your house looks represents you. We spend a lot of time at home and this is why it should be a place where we enjoy staying and which fills us with positive thoughts and energy. This is exactly what Feng Shui does, it helps us feel better and fills us with positive energy.

Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese knowledge that examines the natural and build environment. Feng Shui literally means wind and water and it is an amalgamation of ancient Chinese mathematics, interior design, architecture and simple rules of good housekeeping. It is a popular practice that is being applied to home and work places in order to create a balanced environment.

Feng Shui has quickly evolved from a new age trend to a widely spread decorating phenomenon between professional decorators and amateurs alike. Decorating in the Feng Shui style involves the movement of energy and moving blocked areas so that the energy moves at a balanced pace around the entire home. To be able to move the energy professionals and amateurs use many types of tools such as: mirrors, water, plants, color, sound, scent, etc.

Colours in Feng Shui.

In China decorating with red brings good luck. Red is said to be the only color of good fortune.

In Feng Shui yellow is considered an Imperial color that many Feng Shui masters make use of and some of them consider it more beneficial than red.

Green is considered to be the color of freshness, peace and growth.

Darker decorative colors can be either relaxing or depressing, light colors can be uplifting or annoying, extreme colors can be exhilarating or aggravating.

Wealth area and Family area have as the main element wood. In Feng Shui you should decorate with plants which have healthy leaves. Silk plants are allowed but do NOT decorate with dried plants because they symbolize ill health. It is recommended to add some blue items to this area because it represents water and water helps wood to grow. In Feng Shui, decorating with fish is a symbol of wealth. An inwards pointed ship laden with cargo is symbolic of excellent opportunities for new sources of income. In Feng Shui birds such as robin or oriole and the 3-legged toad are symbols of wealth.

Fame and Reputation area has fire as the main element so decorating with red is a good idea. Decorating with red and fire elements brings luck and recognition. Fire is represented by light so many fixtures, floor lamps, ceiling fans and candles are good choices for decorating. Adding the element of wood to this area helps because it fuels fire according to the element’s creative cycle.
