Danish textile and furniture designer Sofie Brünner has designed the Blush chair.

BLUSH is a unique lounge chair that aims at stimulating the senses.

Working from the concept of haptic design (design that stimulate the sense of touch), BLUSH has a contrasting and playful appearance that invites the user to explore the materials, construction and comfortability. The chair consists of a faceted hard aluminium shell in which a perforated pattern has been laser-cut. Using a brush binding technique, the holes are upholstered with strips of hand printed felt. This results in a soft and tactile front upholstery and a pixel-like upholstered back.

Overall BLUSH has a surprisingly austere expression that is softened by the blushing felt loops that flourish across the chair.

It is extremely obvious that Headboards are in again but the question that would not leave my head is why? Is it due to the new and improved designs or due to the functionality they offer?

Even though most of you know what a headboard is i feel the need to resume it in a few words for those who do not. The headboard is a piece of furniture that attaches to the head of the bed, it can be used to retain pillows, provide and secure backing the the bed upon which you relax or just be the focus point of the room.

Dive is a funky armchair made by Bruehl.

With a pointed back and wing-like armrests, the armchairs are definitely attention grabbers.

The design is unusual but unique, giving it a certain flair that cold be defined as ‘hip elegance’. The chair’s form is straightforward and clean with nice simple curves that give it its edge. Dive would be perfectly at home in a modern contemporary room – adding visual interest in a neutral color, or stealing the show with a bold pattern or colorful fabric. And on top of all that, it seems to promise comfort – which is essential for a good armchair.

Due to the fact that the bedroom is one of the most important rooms of the house and the need for you to have a comfortable and recently renovated such space is huge i decided to present you a few options for redecorating your Bedroom.

Tween Notte Collection

Contemporary and streamlined, yet elegantly cozy too. Because the bedroom plays such an important role in our daily lives, they strive to offer versatile and contemporary furniture and design solutions. Within the collection, there are quite a few different furniture group models (with names like Edge, Cloud and Loop, to name a few), which can be easily combined and mixed together, while keeping the style coherent. All their beds come with the option of a large storage compartment under the mattress, and their wardrobes, bedside tables and chest of drawers are designed to optimize storage as well. The collection uses a variety of materials and finishes, such as naturally elegant walnut, glossy lacquers for optimal reflection of light and added sleek-ness or leather for a comfortable, luxurious feel.

Black, Red and White Bedroom

You are looking at a vibrant room with a lot of personality. A combination of red, black and white transforms this place into a modern and vivid one where sleep will probably be delayed as much as possible. If you look at the overall plan of this interior, you will notice that the room with the bed is connected to another semi-independent space, creating a bedroom-living combo which we find to be quite interesting. It’s an appealing yet fresh design, which suits better an active person.

Bedroom Designs by Gautier

Gautier is a design company founded in 1958. Most of the bedroom designs are simple, sober and elegant, with wooden furniture and stylish carpets to go with it. The color mix goes from mild to fresh, but the overall effect is always pleasing. You will rarely see strong colors – the green and red pillows are an exception, but with a lovely effect.  Flowers and paintings make the interiors lively and also help personalizing every room. Small details and decorative items such as bottles and tea cups really manage to make a difference. The floor lamps and the night stands are also a nice touch.

Patricia Urquiola has designed the Foliage sofa for the Italian manufacturer Kartell.

Dialogue between natural realities and artificial Foliage, the sofa clearly bears the graphic hallmark of Patricia Urquiola as an object that looks as if it just grew naturally in plastic. The leaves form a crown resting on a framework of branches which virtually form a seat. Foliage is a sofa with great personality featuring a seat with top-stitched embroidery on four round legs. Cosy and soft, Foliage offers two roomy seats. The top-stitching runs over the entire surface and on the back too making the sofa a standalone piece that can be placed even in the centre of a room and seen from all sides.

Karim Rashid has designed the WOOPY armchair and barstool for Italian manufacturer B-Line.

The Woopy Armchair is not only very comfortable but also has a futuristic and unique look. Stylish and funny, mostly due to the colors used all you want to do is take it home so you can cheer a room. Another viable option for using this chair is in a bar but from my point of view if you buy one, you should buy all of the chairs for your bar from this collection as it could complete wonderful a bar atmosphere.

At the first look, it seems very comfortable but when you think of it, i guess i’d need some cushion or at least a hand support in order to be really comfortable on such a chair.
