The contemporary furniture manufacturer, Acrila launched such a collection consisting in: a few chairs, a coffee table and a gueridon.

Made out of acryl these pieces of furniture are meant to steal at least a smile each day for all the people that use/see them.

Not only the smiling faces are funny and cute but also they help you keep up your positive mood.

This small and low coffee table is called Spline and was created by Fred Rieffel. You can change it rotating the plates as you want. The table is made of oak veneer, the measures are 124 x 23 x 86 cm. Moves, changes and metamorphoses of form are all according to your mood. The table is eco-friendly as made of natural wood and it’s very stylish. It would look great not only in modern interior but also in many others. Simple and elegant, it’s available in ten types of wood.

The system used for this table reminds me of the tables i saw once in a chinese restaurant here, in my home town. The purpose of a rotating table in there is kinda obvious as you buy more type of food, put them on the rotating part of the table and serve yourself from every dish, we might have such a thing with more types of coffee, tea? More types of coffee/tea in special recipients for people to serve themselves ? It’s kinda a good idea! At least i and my friends would love it!

In order to wash away my sins for ignoring the gamers lately i am going to present you a nice piece of design for those who love spending an evening/night playing poker with their friends and not only.

The brazilian designer-architect Mauricio Arruda had an innovative idea when he created the House of Cards Table.

In order to satisfy our curiosity the designer presents us the process of production : “To manufacture the table, a process of laser cutting was used. This technology created a perfect reproduction of a deck of cards in scale 13:1. Subsequently, steel cards were welded one to one forming a second‐story house of cards that serves as an under frame. These frames feature a versatile look to the piece, since they are capable of supporting different sized tabletops. The design options were made to accommodate form 6 to 10 seats . The images of the playing cards are printed individually in the plates of steel, which allows each table to have a different configuration, becoming single pieces. They are assembled like a house of cards in a real cards game, where each piece is drawn randomly.”

Pooktre is what i thought when i first saw Laura’s creations.

Laura Spector is one of those artists and designers that creates a really unusual handmade furniture. She is best know for her uniquely lyrical interpretation of the organic form. Among her creations you can find truly amazing wicker furniture made of twigs as for outdoors as for indoors. Each furniture piece is an unique treasure that represents a love of nature and is real object of beauty. They all are made from a vine called Oriental Bittersweet covered with two coats of an oil-based wood preservative and a coat of polyurethane.

She has made a large variety of furniture pieces from english, french and balinese benches to chairs, beds, tables and even lamps.

With such an interesting and innovative design these pieces are suitable for rustic and modern environments at the same time, you just have to know how to combine the pieces with the rest of the decor.

Loop coffee table is inspired by the spiral shape of roller coasters loops.

It takes advantage of the physical properties of Corian in order to get its curved and very slim surface. That surface features two separate tabletops so the table is perfect for two people. Thanks to that surface the overall look of the coffee table is minimalist and quite futuristic. Such table could easily become the focal point of a room where it is placed. Two small, almost invisible, acrylic bars, beneath the table, maintains its stability

Push, designed by Nenad Kostadinov, is a modern curved coffee table isn’t only very stylish piece of furniture but also practical.
